Traffic Jam Causes 12-Hour Delays in Acatzingo

Dozens of motorists have been stuck for more than 12 hours on the Acatzingo-Ciudad Mendoza highway due to a rock and soil landslide in the Cumbres de Maltrata. The Federal Roads and Bridge personnel (Capufe) are working on cleaning and risk mitigation activities in the affected area to ensure the safety of drivers. This incident has caused intense traffic from Saturday to Sunday, with queues of up to two kilometers long.

The landslide occurred at kilometer 231 of the Cumbres de Maltrata, where authorities are controlling traffic to avoid risks. Capufe has been providing updated information through social media about the situation, indicating that lane reductions persist due to the presence of personnel on site, which continues to generate congestion in the area.
